Freehand Fillers (beginner)
Get ready for a fun, high-energy class with a focus on learning a variety of workable freehand designs. Fun, funky and fabulous! You will leave the workshop with a sampler of at least 12 different freehand fillers and many more ideas that will leave you inspired to think outside the box!
Formal Feathers 101 (beginner to intermediate)
This workshop is based on her best selling book by the same name and is a wonderful way to begin the exciting adventure of Freehand Formal Feathers! Free yourself from the clutches of those stencil lords and create your own fabulous feathers! This workshop will leave you dreaming of fabulous feathers all day and all night! All students will leave with a wonderful feather sampler and oodles of self-confidence to finish what they started in the comfort of their own studio.
Advanced Formal Feathers (intermediate to confident)
Do you want to take those Formal Feathers you have been practicing to the next level and really push your limits? If you answered yes, then this is the class for you! Sherry will share many elegant variations of Formal Feathers, which will definitely take your quilting to the next level! You will not only take home some wonderfully designed masterpieces that you created, you will leave with a renewed spark for creativity! This class will be based on Sherry's book Fancy Formal Feathers
Creative Design 101 (intermediate to confident)
Do you ever wonder how Sherry comes up with the designs she uses? This workshop will take you inside her head and show you the design process that has worked for her. In this workshop, Sherry willl provide a drawing of the quilt top and tons of ideas to make it your own. Sherry will share her approach to coordinating her designs but in the end you will have a drawing of your own personalized road map for quilting at your convenience. At the end of the day you will have a whole new approach to design and be ready to concur any quilt! Each student will have some practice to his or her designs at the quilt machine.
This is an in process workshop with allot of drawing time.
NEW for 2008: Ink-Lique (all skill levels)
Ink-Lique is the process Sherry used on her quilt Tribal Fusion that has taken numorous ribbons and awards in the national quilting shows ink-cluding placing in the top ten at Paducah and viewers choice.
Learn the new techn-ink that is taking the quilting world by storm! If you can trace, quilt and you like to color, then your going to love this process! In this workshop you will learn all Sherry's secrets and we will go through them step-by-step so that you can create your own masterpiece. Sherry is ink-luding a trunk show of all her colorful inked quilts which will leave you inspired for more! Supplies to get you started are ink-luded.
